Terms of Service

Accounts

You must be at least 18 years old and able to form a binding contract to use the Service. If you use the Service for an organization, you accept these Terms for that organization.

Keep your account details accurate and your password secret. You are responsible for everything done with your account and its keys.

API keys

API keys and management keys act for your account. Keep them secret, rotate a key you believe is exposed, and revoke keys you no longer use.

Limits you set on a key, such as a spend limit or a concurrency cap, are best-effort controls. They depend on provider responses and list prices, and they do not cap what a provider may bill you.

Provider credentials and provider terms

You authorize us to store the provider credentials you add and to use them to create, operate, and destroy sandboxes on your provider accounts at your direction.

Your use of each provider is governed by your own agreement with that provider. You are responsible for following its terms and for every charge it bills you, including for sandboxes the Service creates for you.

We encrypt provider credentials at rest and never return them through the Service. You can replace or remove a credential at any time.

Sandboxes, routing, and teardown

The Service routes each create to a provider, may try further providers when a create fails, and tries to destroy each sandbox when its time to live ends.

Providers can fail, refuse requests, or change their services. We do not guarantee that a sandbox is created, that it runs on a particular provider, or that teardown succeeds. Check your provider accounts for sandboxes that are still running.

Costs the Service shows are estimates from published list prices. Your provider bill is the record of what you owe your provider.

Acceptable use

Do not use the Service to break any law or the terms of any provider; to attack, probe, or disrupt any system without permission; to send spam; to mine cryptocurrency; to store or spread malware or content that exploits children; or to infringe the rights of others.

Do not try to get around a limit, access another account, or reverse engineer the Service except where the law allows it.

We may suspend access, revoke keys, or destroy sandboxes we reasonably believe break these rules.

Fees

During launch, the Service is free to use on your own provider keys. Before we charge for any part of the Service, we will post the prices on www.sandcovery.com/pricing and tell account holders by email. Charges apply only after that notice.

Your content

You keep all rights to the code, commands, files, and data you run or store in sandboxes ("Your Content"). You give us permission to transmit Your Content between you and your providers as needed to run the Service.

You are responsible for Your Content and for having the rights to use it.

Changes, suspension, and termination

We may change, add, or remove features of the Service. We aim to give notice of a change that removes a feature you use.

You may stop using the Service at any time and ask us to delete your account by emailing team@sandcovery.com. We may suspend or end your access if you break these Terms or if we stop offering the Service. When access ends, we destroy your running sandboxes where we can and delete your provider credentials.

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE", WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, WHETHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, TITLE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT THE SERVICE WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, SECURE, OR ERROR-FREE, OR THAT ANY PROVIDER WILL BE AVAILABLE.

Limitation of liability

TO THE FULLEST EXTENT THE LAW ALLOWS, WE ARE NOT LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR FOR LOST PROFITS, DATA, OR PROVIDER CHARGES, ARISING FROM THE SERVICE. OUR TOTAL LIABILITY FOR ANY CLAIM ARISING FROM THE SERVICE IS LIMITED TO THE GREATER OF THE AMOUNT YOU PAID US IN THE 12 MONTHS BEFORE THE CLAIM AND 100 US DOLLARS.

Indemnity

You will defend and indemnify us against claims arising from Your Content, your use of the Service, your provider accounts, or your breach of these Terms.

Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Delaware, without regard to its conflict of laws rules. The state and federal courts located in Delaware have exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute arising from these Terms or the Service.

Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms. We will post the new Terms on this page with a new effective date and, for a material change, tell account holders by email before it applies. Using the Service after the change means you accept it.
